Q: There are two different files. Which one do I need.
Either one will work. The zip file will need to be unzipped. Your computer will do that automatically.
Q: Why is one file more expensive.
The txt file is almost 6x larger. It takes longer to download and occupies more space on the server.
Q: What format is the file in?
The data is in standard tab-delimited ASCII text file format
Q: Tell me about the information in the files?
This file consists of data in the Florida Voter Registration System regarding voters who are officially registered as of the end of the prior month. The information of voters who have requested public records exemptions pursuant to chapter 119.071, F.S. is limited to specific fields. See layout below for details. The information of voters who are participants in the Attorney General’s Address Confidentiality Program pursuant to 731.401-741.565, F.S., is also not included.

NO. Voters are not obligated to provide optional information such as telephone, email, race etc
Q: I downloaded the file but I have lost it or can't find it on my computer. Can I download it again for free?
NO. Unfortunately, the website is configured for one download per purchase. You can try searching for the county name on your computer.
